Není překvapením, že tento snímek patří k Siegelovým nejzábavnějším a zároveň nejnásilnějším. Společně s filmem Madigan je skvělou studií života ve městě a individualismu.

A western-style film set in 1960s New York, it tells the story of an Arizona sheriff who accompanies a prisoner turned over to justice and loses him in the concrete canyons of Manhattan. Eastwood's erratic and dangerous man of the west must find him and in the process encounters various pimps, thieves, young hippies and cops.

Unsurprisingly, this is one of Siegel's funniest and most violent films. Along with Madigan, it's a great study of city life and individualism. Coogan's Trick, unlike its predecessor, is more relaxed and offers a wide variety of characters and locations...
