In this fully restored extended director's cut, Sergio Leone's dream becomes a reality. Twenty-two more minutes chronicle the brutal and passionate history of the underworld, bringing more detail to the characters and highlighting the performances of top-notch actors. The story follows longtime cronies played by Robert De Niro and James Woods, first on their journey among the criminal elite and then to death and destruction. Other roles shine with Joe Pesci, Jennifer Connely, Elizabeth McGovern, Treat Williams and Louise Fletcher (the latter three appearing in new scenes). The 22 minutes of previously unreleased footage included here gives us a closer look at the film as Leone originally intended it, but due to the limited availability of the 35mm work print, the quality of the restored footage does not reach the same level as the rest of the film...
