New York, 1941. Neurotic screenwriter Barton Fink (John Turturro) has just made it big on Broadway. Producers are starting to take an interest in him. When Hollywood calls to ask him to write a screenplay about wrestling, Barton trades the city smog for film fame. L.A. welcomes Barton Fink with open arms. Barton Fink struggles with writer's block.
