Ten years have passed, and neither Derek (Ben Stiller) nor his friend Hansel (Owen Wilson) have flourished in the modelling world for a long time. To him, they're dead and gone. Dead (but in the true sense of the word) are also starting to become select music celebrities, whose violent ends are linked by one curious detail - each was found by the police with a grimace replicating one of Derek Zoolander's unique looks. When even Justin Bieber ends up like this, the lead and very sexy-looking investigator (Penélope Cruz) decides to make a very brave, but also utterly desperate attempt.
She enlists Derek and Hansel as secret agents to infiltrate the world of the most brilliant celebrities and find the killer before you can say Gaga. To make their mission a little more complicated, the bad guy Mugatu (Will Ferrell) has just gotten out of prison and has learned everything a good bad guy should know behind bars, plus he's set up a very brutal revenge for Hansel and Derek. The catwalks will be on fire again...
