In 1375, the vast Chinese empire is in the throes of total war between the warring Mongol Yuan dynasty and the Chinese Ming dynasty. When diplomats from the neighboring Korean kingdom of Coryo are captured, they are accused of espionage and sent into exile. If the nine Korean warriors ever want to see their homeland again, they must perform a meritorious deed - free the kidnapped Chinese princess from the Ming dynasty so that her imperial father will allow them to return home.
