Terminator Genisys - Blu-ray

The future is dark. Judgment Day in the 1990s wiped out half of humanity, and those who survived have since been fighting a losing battle against the computer system known as Skynet. The strongest resistance movement formed around John Connor (Jason Clarke), who represents the greatest threat to Skynet. The solution is a Terminator, a killing machine with human features (Arnold Schwarzenegger), sent back in time by Skynet to kill Connor’s mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke), before she can give birth to her son. However, the human resistance also has access to time travel and sends soldier Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to protect Sarah from the Terminator. Up to this point, the story mirrors the plot of the first film. But returning to the year 1984 marks a major turning point. Kyle Reese discovers that Sarah is no longer a helpless and frightened waitress, but a tough fighter who cannot be intimidated by any Terminator—especially since one such machine has already been her companion and protector for several years. Yet this apparent advantage may prove useless, as Skynet has its “fingers” everywhere and is determined to prevent this unlikely trio from giving humanity a brighter future.
