A mysterious message from the past sends James Bond (Daniel Craig) on a mission to Mexico City and then to Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the beautiful widow of a notorious criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of a dangerous organization called Spectre. Meanwhile, in London, the new head of the National Security Center, Max Denbigh (Andrew Scott), questions Bond's actions and the very existence of MI6, led by M (Ralph Fiennes). Bond secretly asks Moneypenny (Naomi Harris) and Q (Ben Whishaw) to help him find Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux), the daughter of his old adversary White (Jesper Christensen), who may know a way to unravel Spectre's network.
