The fall of the Soviet empire was the work of one man. Charlie Wilson. A whoremonger, an alcoholic, an occasional drug user and a congressman who managed to drive the Red Army out of Afghanistan and thus started the rapid collapse of the communist empire. All he had to do was supply the poorly armed Afghan resistance with better weapons.
