When the democratic regime in Nigeria falls and a ruthless military dictator seizes power, seasoned Marine veteran A.K. Waters (Bruce Willis) is given a seemingly routine assignment: to rescue Dr. Lena Kendricks (Monica Bellucci), a member of Doctors Without Borders, from the country. Dr. Lena Kendricks (Monica Bellucci), who is caring for victims of the raging civil war in a remote village. The doctor is willing to leave the village only on the condition that Waters' men transport the villagers to the nearby border. If left to fend for themselves, they would soon fall victim to the numerous rebel army. The soldiers are willing to take the ultimate risk and escort the villagers through the dense jungle. However, they face a difficult decision: is the life of one man more valuable than their own lives and those of the other refugees, whose rescue they consider their moral duty?
