Riders of the Sky - Blu-ray newly digitized film

This intimate war drama follows the fate of the crew of a British Wellington bomber made up of Czechoslovaks, Englishmen, and a Canadian. Air raids over enemy territory are part of their daily routine, even though death is often only centimeters away. The authenticity is enhanced by archival footage sensitively integrated into the black-and-white academy format. Director Polák conceived the film as a tribute to heroes whom the communist regime labeled as traitors.
