A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is an American fantasy series created by Ira Parker and George R. R. Martin, serving as a prequel to *Game of Thrones* and an adaptation of the *Tales of Dunk and Egg* series. The story takes place approximately 90 years before the events of *Game of Thrones*, at a time when the Targaryens still rule and dragons are part of legend. It follows the journey of a young, inexperienced knight, Ser Dunk the Tall, accompanied by his diminutive squire, Aegon “Egg” Targaryen.
