Midnight Run is an action comedy film directed by Martin Brest and starring Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin. De Niro plays Jack Walsh, a former police officer who now makes his living as a private detective. He is tasked with bringing a con man, Jonathan Marduke (Charles Grodin), to Los Angeles to answer for his actions.
Walsh must overcome a number of obstacles, most notably Marduke's unpredictability, to get him to his destination and then collect his reward. During the journey, the two men experience various comic situations that gradually help them understand each other and find common ground.
Midnight Run is full of action, suspense and humour and offers the perfect combination of the charisma of both main characters. De Niro and Grodin excel in their roles and their performances make the film a true gem of the genre.
