A hidden elevator brings Thomas up into a meadow surrounded by towering walls. He remembers nothing—not even his own name at first. He is welcomed by a group of other boys, all of whom arrived the same way. Together, they’ve built a strange community, trying to survive in this mysterious place while desperately searching for a way out. Every morning, a massive door in the wall opens—offering the only chance to escape. But beyond it lies a vast, ever-changing maze that encircles their new home. The best and bravest runners venture into the labyrinth each day, mapping its shifting paths and looking for an exit. They have only daylight to complete their mission—at night, the door closes, and anyone left inside the maze doesn’t survive. Only a crossed-out name carved into stone remains. Because at night, the maze becomes a deadly trap full of terrifying dangers. Still, Thomas feels a strange pull toward it. Maybe because he’s different from the others.
