Thomas’s underground lift took him to a meadow surrounded by high walls. He doesn't remember anything, not even his own name at first. Upon his arrival, he is greeted by a group of other young men who have faced the same fate before. They have formed a strange community, trying to survive in this bizarre place while tirelessly searching for a way out. They have the chance to escape every morning when a massive gate opens in the wall. However, it only allows them to enter the vast and constantly changing maze that surrounds their new home. Despite this, Thomas is constantly drawn to the maze. Perhaps it's because he is different from the other boys. Only he has strange dreams about the past and a mysterious organization hidden under the abbreviation W.C.K.D. Additionally, it is his name that is called out by a new passenger brought by another lift. To everyone's surprise, however, it’s not a boy, but a girl. And she might just hold the key to the gate of their prison...
