Director John Woo´s war drama tells a story set during World War II, when American soldiers used the Navajo language to encrypt military communications. The film focuses on the relationship between Sergeant Joe Enders (Nicolas Cage) and a young Navajo, Ben Yahzee (Adam Beach), who is tasked with protecting the code. The story unfolds during the Battle of Saipan in 1944, where soldiers must choose between personal bonds and military loyalty.
