A sleeping kingdom, a wicked curse, and a prince's courage

At Princess Rosamund's (Marie Horáková) christening, her bitter aunt Melánia casts a dark curse: on her seventeenth birthday, Rosamund will prick her finger and fall into an eternal sleep along with the entire kingdom. Despite her father's desperate efforts to banish all sharp objects and roses from the realm, fate cannot be easily cheated. When the time comes for marriage, the boastful Prince George (Jan Kraus), his humble younger brother Prince Jaroslav (Jan Hrušínský), and their clever servant Matěj (Vladimír Menšík) arrive at the castle. As the curse takes hold, Prince Jaroslav must embark on a dangerous journey through forbidden mountains to defeat Melánia's wicked magic and wake the princess with love's true kiss...
