Casino Royale is about the early days of Bond's spy career. On his first mission as "007", he is to take on Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), who has become a banker of global terrorism. In order to stop him and dismantle the terrorist network, Bond must defeat Le Chiffre in a poker tournament with astronomical stakes that Le Chiffre is hosting at the Casino Royale. He accepts the news that the charming Treasury Department accountant Vesper Lynd (Eva Green) is going on a mission with him to secure funding for the poker games and then oversee the government's money with extreme reluctance - but after surviving a series of deadly attacks by Le Chiffre and his henchmen together, the two develop a mutual attraction. This eventually leads them into even more dangerous situations that will change Bond's life forever...
