In the near future, children are born with a unique X‑factor that grants them supernatural powers – a devastating laser stare, telekinesis, or control over the weather. For ordinary humans, it is difficult to accept mutants without fear. Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), a globally renowned telepath mutant, therefore establishes a school with the goal of teaching mutants to control their abilities so that humans need not view them as threats. However, not all mutants are willing to adapt — some do not believe humans and mutants could ever coexist. Now the group known as the X-Men must protect humanity from those who believe mutant strength should rule, because their leader, Magneto (Ian McKellen), has very different intentions for the future of planet Earth…
