The near future. All over the planet, children are being born with an X-factor in their genes that gives them special powers - like a devastating laser stare, or the ability to fly, or move objects, or control the weather. Professor X, Wolverine, Storm, Jean Grey, Rogue, Cyclops, Magneto, Toad, Mystique, Sabretooth are all mutants with extraordinary powers. But for people who don't have such abilities, it's very hard to accept mutants and not be scared.
Professor Charles Xavier, a world-renowned mutant telepath, has the most acute need to teach mutants how to work with and control their special powers. He sets up a special school, and his intention is to get the students to behave in such a way that the world learns to stop fearing them. Xavier accepts two new students. They are Logan - a lone strongman and Rogue, who can take any power and memory from anything she touches. Standing against Professor Xavier's philosophy is Senator Kelly, who would like to eliminate the mutants.
