- Description
The film is based on the novel of the same name by the successful American writer Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook of a Love Affair). It is about a soldier of the US army and his journey to find an unknown woman from a photograph he found during one of the actions in Iraq. Logan (Zac Efron) believes that the photograph brought him luck and helped him survive in Iraq.
Upon his return from the war, he decides to seek out the woman in question, although he has no idea who she is. He manages to find out the name of the woman in the photograph and the place where divorced Beth (Taylor Schilling) lives with her young son. Logan keeps believing that it was fate that linked his life path with Beth. So he starts working on the family homestead, which belongs to Beth's family. However, he keeps the secret of the found photograph to himself, and soon the feelings between him and Beth begin to grow. What Logan doesn't realise is that secrets don't usually last forever...
