With the first snowfall, the brilliant yet eccentric detective Harry Hole (Michael Fassbender) is called to the case of a missing woman who is left with nothing but a scarf wrapped around a Snowman set up outside her house. Along with a letter signed "Snowman," Hole is given a new and equally mysterious colleague, Katrine Bratt (Rebecca Ferguson). As the search continues, the secrets of not only the strange disappearance begin to unravel, but also of Katrine herself, who has more to do with the case than anyone suspected. Harry Hole will have to prove more than ever what's really inside him...
