Can women experience sex like men? Journalist Carrie Bradshaw decided to find the answer to this question in one of the most scandalous television comedies of recent times. She used herself and her three best friends as guinea pigs to explore the possibilities for a thirty-year-old woman who wants to have some fun in a city full of serious single men who think that commitments and responsibilities are for other people. The series, produced by HBO, is based on the novel of the same name by Candace Bushnell. Carrie is a smart, curious, desirable and successful woman who nevertheless lives alone. She is not literally alone, of course, but none of her sexual partners has yet ‘crossed over’ into the position of a permanent partner. The period of searching for the right one is a source of eternal inspiration and reflection for her and her three equally single, beautiful and intelligent friends. Is such coexistence even possible? Carrie can also put her experiences from New York parties to good use in her regular newspaper columns, aptly titled Sex and the City. After all, all you have to do is look around you, at your friends and best friends...
