Sleepless in Seattle

Architect Sam (Tom Hanks) mourns the death of his wife. His young son wants his dad to find someone, so he calls into a popular late-night radio show and gets his dad to speak on the air. In the car, he's heard by Annie (Meg Ryan), among dozens of others, who is quite taken with Sam. Sam is convinced of the magical power of love and is a bit of an idealist; Annie is a purely practical journalist who has her doubts about everything. There are numerous very funny scenes in the film depicting people's courting and dating habits. Nights in Seattle deals with a certain view of fate without embarrassment and with humour - if two people are meant to be, they will find each other, despite distance, time or even a proper introduction...
