They stomp the accelerator pedal into the floor with their foot, drive with one hand and hold a gun in the other, or at least show a raised middle finger. They're just fast and furious. For the fifth time. Under the guidance of director Justin Lin, who earned his spurs on the previous two installments of the famous action-racing series, all the old friends - Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Jordan Brewster - meet up, this time joined by first-rate action star Dwayne Johnson. The Czech police can stay calm, all the road rage takes place in the hot streets of Rio, Brazil. All the way here, notoriously good-hearted criminal Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker), the ex-cop who last helped him escape from prison, have escaped justice. But not by accident. A plan has brought them to the city beneath a giant statue of Jesus, and at the end of it all, a ticket to freedom awaits them. Trouble is, the plan, with a face value of $100 million waiting for them in a police station safe, is completely insane. Brian and Dom summon former partners to Rio to increase their chances of success, only it's not just a corrupt narco-baron and his struggling crew that stand against them, but also a tough federal agent named Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson). Hobbs is the kind of guy who takes his job deadly seriously, and when he's given a task, he always gets it done. And that's a deadly combination for both heroes. Good thing they have cars and the ability to get the best out of them every time...
