A young couple, Gil (Owen Wilson) and Inez (Rachel McAdams), who are planning to get married in the fall, arrive in Paris with her parents. Gil is an unremarkable writer who loves Paris and would like to move there after the wedding. However, Inez doesn’t share his romantic vision and doesn’t believe that the city’s golden age was in the 1920s. One evening, Inez goes dancing with friends while Gil takes a walk through the night-time streets of Paris. His midnight experiences reveal the city in a new light and have an impact on his future life.
