Hollywood filmmakers once again revive the classic story of a family whose suburban home is invaded by fierce ghosts and set it in the present day.

All they wanted was a new house and a fresh start. The story is about a mother who wants to protect her children from their abusive father, so the family moves to a new house.

However, the children suddenly begin to see very strange things. The mother at first considers it a bad joke until she almost loses her life. The attacks escalate and the ghosts even kidnap the youngest daughter. Now the mother is the last hope for saving her children. If she fails, they will all die...
