After many years, Eliška and her young daughter return to her husband's home village to try to make a new start. However, apart from a warm welcome from her neighbours, she also meets a local oddity, a woman who carries in her deranged mind the weight of her own old misfortune.

A web of curses gradually begins to weave itself around Eliška, exposed to the traumas of loneliness and gradually exhausted by her struggle with endless official stereotypes. Will Eliška manage to save herself and her daughter from a mysterious evil before the shadow of the Ice Age or her own madness completely takes over?
