You wouldn't believe how scary footage from industrial cameras can be. When debuting director Oren Peli presented a horror film three years ago, where these footage formed the basic visual component, few people thought that Paranormal Activity would go down in history.
However, it happened. The film, which was made for fifteen thousand dollars, earned almost 200 million, making it one of the most successful films of all time in terms of return on investment. Moreover, it is considered the pinnacle of horror, because only the most hardened can withstand this ghost story. The main role is once again played by cameras, which are supposed to show worried owners what is going on in their homes while they sleep peacefully. It can be assumed that it is difficult to imagine a more terrifying home video.
The horror of the film is evidenced by the fact that, after complaints from viewers, some American cinemas stopped including its trailer in advertising blocks. In the first part, the creators used the proven method of pseudo-real footage, presenting the camera footage as found material. Logically, they cannot and do not want to enter the same river a second time, yet Oren Peli claims that the key to grasping the story they used offers much more terrifying possibilities. And since the story is a closely guarded secret until the film's premiere, all that remains is to see for yourself with your own senses.
