When Cecilia (Elisabeth Moss) realized she was dating a psychopath, it was already too late. Isolated in the luxurious estate of a wealthy inventor, she understands that if she wants to survive, she must escape. She manages to do so, and when she learns from her ex-partner’s lawyer that he couldn’t cope with her leaving and committed suicide, she can finally breathe freely again after years. Moreover, she’s rich because her former boyfriend left her a vast fortune in a twisted gesture. So why does she still feel so restless? Why are her nerves always on edge? Why are strange things happening around her that she cannot explain, and which become increasingly terrifying in their course and consequences?
There are only two possibilities. Either Cecilia has genuinely lost her mind, or someone close to her is literally invisible and has one goal — to take away everything she has ever cared about. But how do you fight an enemy you cannot see, who might only exist in your head?
