Armed with an arsenal of shrink rays and freeze guns alongside his loyal army of Minions, Gru plans the biggest heist in world history: stealing the Moon! However, when rival villain Vector outsmarts him, Gru adopts three young orphaned sisters—Margo, Edith, and Agnes—to infiltrate Vector's fortress. Unexpectedly, the three girls see something in Gru that no one else ever has: a potential dad...

💡 Production & Cast Highlights

• Creation of the Minions: The yellow Minions were originally envisioned as large, robotic henchmen. Due to budget constraints, directors simplified and shrank them, accidentally creating a global pop-culture phenomenon.
• The Minion Language: Directors Pierre Coffin and Chris Renaud voiced the Minions themselves, creating "Minionese"—a cheerful blend of French, Spanish, English, Italian, and Indonesian words.
• Pharrell Williams Score: Features iconic original songs and score composed by Grammy Award® winner Pharrell Williams, launching his iconic partnership with Illumination.
