Drink from me and live forever... Two centuries of dark elegance and regret

In modern-day San Francisco, reporter Daniel Molloy (Christian Slater) sits down in a dimly lit room to interview a man who claims to be a vampire. Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt) recounts his tragic, two-hundred-year life story, beginning in late 18th-century Louisiana. Devastated by grief, Louis meets the charismatic yet cruel vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Tom Cruise), who transforms him into a creature of the night. While Lestat embraces the thrill of the hunt, Louis is tormented by his lingering human conscience—a rift that deepens when they adopt a young orphaned girl named Claudia (Kirsten Dunst)...

💡 Production & Cast Highlights

• Anne Rice's Praise: Author Anne Rice was initially vocal against Tom Cruise's casting as Lestat. However, after viewing the finished film, she publicly apologized and lavishly praised his performance as perfection.
• Kirsten Dunst's Breakout Role: A 12-year-old Kirsten Dunst earned a Golden Globe nomination for her extraordinary performance as Claudia, a adult woman trapped in a child's eternal body.
• Inverted Makeup Technique: To achieve their pale, translucent, veiny vampire complexions, the actors had to hang upside down for several minutes before makeup application so blood would rush to their faces, allowing artists to accurately trace their veins.
