Clocker is a dealer who sells drugs twenty-four hours a day and Strike (Mekhi Phifer) is one of those who work really hard on the street. But times have changed and they have changed for him. When a local boss (Delroy Lindo) gives him a tip on how to get upstairs, his adversary ends up in the morgue and Strike finds himself caught between the millstones in the form of two detectives. One is Larry Mazilli (John Turturro), who is only after easy money. The other - Rocco Klein (Harvey Keitel) - is looking for something that is much harder to find: the truth. And when it turns out that Strike's brother confessed to the murder, Rocco won't rest until he's sure he's got the right man behind bars...
