The next film by Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, Inception, The Dark Knight trilogy) is the action thriller Dunkirk starring Fionn Whitehead, Kenneth Branagh, Mark Rylance and Tom Hardy. The film's story, which unfolds sequentially on land, sea and air, follows the fate of several hundred thousand British and Allied soldiers under enemy encirclement on the beaches of Dunkirk.
