Rick Leland is kind of a loser. He just got kicked out of the U.S. Army, and the armed forces of another country don't exactly want him for that reason. So Rick boards a Japanese ship in New York bound for the Orient. There he meets the charming Alberta and the mysterious Dr. Lorenzo, who seems to attract everything dangerous. When Rick manages to save Lorenzo from a hired assassin at the last moment, he finally has the chance to make some money. But Rick is keeping something from everyone around him, and Lorenzo knows it. The year is 1941 and Pearl Harbor is near. Trouble starts in Panama...
