On his first day at his new school, Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) falls head over heels in love with Bianca (Larisa Oleynik), the beauty he's been dreaming of. The only problem is that Bianca can't date anyone unless her fickle and completely impossible older sister Kat (Julia Stiles) finds a boyfriend too! Cameron attempts to solve the problem and tracks down the only guy who would be a good match for Kat: the mysterious rebel Patrick (Heath Ledger), with a pretty bad reputation.
