Bob Stone (Johnson) was a washed-up "cosi" in high school and served only as a target for brutal bullying. Calvin (Kevin Hart) stood at the complete opposite end of the high school food chain, but that's now last year's snowflakes in his case, as he eats up a low-paying job at an accounting firm and desperately watches life slip through his fingers.
They hadn't heard from each other in years, but now they have "met" on the internet and then physically, in a pub, where they want to reminisce about the good old days. Bob impresses Calvin not only with his well-developed musculature, but also with the information that as an elite CIA agent he works on the world's biggest cases. Still stunned, Calvin lets Bob stay at his place for the night, which turns out to be a cardinal mistake, because the next morning Calvin is surprised at home by a punitive expedition of Bob's colleagues.
They are after their partner, who they believe is up to his ears in preparations for a terrorist attack. Looks like Bob's been bullshitting Calvin. Fortunately, they'll be able to work things out, as Bob takes Calvin with him on his flight from justice, using him to clear his name and save the world as an encore. That shouldn't be a problem for the former class nerd...
