Under the leadership of Julius Caesar, the famous Roman legions invaded Britain. One small village manages to resist bravely, but it grows weaker and weaker by the day. The British Queen therefore sends her loyal officer Anticlimax to seek help from the Gauls in the other tiny village in France, famous for its ingenious fight against the Romans...
When Anticlimax describes the plight of his people, the Gauls give him a barrel of their magic potion, and Astérix and Obélix are commissioned to escort him home. Once they arrive in Britain, Anticlimax introduces them to the local customs in all their glory, and everyone goes wild! However, a frazzled Caesar decides to recruit the Normans, the fearsome warriors of the North, to put an end to the British once and for all.
But the Normans want only one thing - to experience fear. And that's because they've heard a saying somewhere: "Fear gives you wings"... and who wouldn't want to fly? The Gauls, the Brits, the Normans and the Romans become entangled in a mad chase for the magic potion on which their nation's salvation depends...
