The Amazing Spider-Man tells the story of Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), an unpopular high school student abandoned by his parents as a child and raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he really is and why he has become the person he is today. At the same time, he experiences his first high school romance with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and together they navigate the challenges of love, commitment, and secrets. When Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins searching for the truth behind his parents’ disappearance. His investigation leads him to Oscorp and the laboratory of Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), his father’s former colleague.
