After Garfield, the brothers Alvin, Simone and Theodor come on the scene. They are extraordinary squirrels who not only can talk, but can also sing very well. One day they run into David, who notices their talent and has them make a record. Concerts, crowds of fans and the Chipmunks increasingly embark on various adventures with dramatic consequences, and David's patience slowly hits a ceiling.
Will Alvin and the others be able to save their friendship with David? How will they come to terms with their newfound popularity? For Alvin and his crew are naughty as hell, and David will have his work cut out for him to keep them safe from the many pitfalls he has so far thought they could never cause anyone. Situational humour accompanied by witty songs are some of the best weapons the Chipmunks have to throw at the audience.
