A young owl boy, Soren, is fascinated by his father's stories of the Guardians of Ga'Hool, mythical winged warriors who fought a great battle to save the entire owl race from the evil Pure Ones.
When he and his brother Kludd fall from their family's tree-top nest directly into the clutches of the Pure Ones, it's up to Soren to make a daring escape with the help of other brave owls. Together they search for the Great Tree, home of the Guardians, who are the only hope of defeating the Pure Ones and saving the owl kingdom.
