College student Tree used to be a horrible bitch until fate punished her by forcing her to relive the same day over and over again, at the end of which she was brutally killed by a freak wearing her university's mascot mask. The daily bloodshed only ended when Tree discovered the identity of the perpetrator (her roommate Lori, who couldn't stand her anymore) and sent him to eternity.
In the meantime, the bitch had become a friendly being loyally loving her classmate Carter, who helped her fight the killer time loop. They would have apparently lived happily ever after if it weren't for a series of unfortunate incidents, ending with Tree waking up again on her birthday, a few happy weeks dissolved like steam over a pot, and the only certainty Tree has is the death that awaits her tonight.
The solution is simple - jump in after Lori, cut her out of her life and return her own to normal. But when Tree finds Lori, her roommate is dead. Something's changed... In her quest to get back to normal, Tree soon discovers that there are worse things than dying every day...
