Only God and Victor Frankenstein have managed to revive dead matter and create a living being out of it. And it is the latter that is the subject of our story, set in a century when newly awakened science, new technologies, and traditional faith and religion are converging to change the laws governing life and death. Radical scientist Dr. Victor Frankenstein (James McAvoy) and his sidekick Igor (Daniel Radcliffe) share a vision of artificially created life that could change the world. However, Victor sees the results of their work together spiral out of control and even threaten to fall into the hands of people who want to use them to satisfy their lust for power.
