Description:

Its creators must have had a good reason for making it the largest building in the world. The Great Wall of China is shrouded in myth. Legendary director Zhang Yimou, with the help of Matt Damon, has tapped into one of them to make a spectacular adventure fantasy about nothing less than saving human civilisation. In The Great Wall of China, the Hollywood superstar plays William Garin, a battle-hardened mercenary who has come to the Far East to retrieve the secret of gunpowder.

The extremely dangerous mission in an exotic environment could not go well, and even an exceptional archer like Garin could not withstand the overwhelming odds of the warriors of a secret group called the Nameless Order. Their primary task is to protect a massive and seemingly endless wall, the sight of which would make Garin and his friend Pero Tovar (Pedro Pascal) drop their jaws if they weren't in danger of execution. But it won't come to that; an army of monsters will attack the wall, and the help of the great soldiers comes in handy for their captors. But it's hard to say whether, in the face of the swarming, merciless hordes, they shouldn't have chosen the execution instead...
