Daisy Edgar-Jones, played by Kate Coopero, is a former storm chaser who is haunted by a devastating tornado encounter during her college days and who now studies storms on screens in New York City. Her boyfriend Javi (Anthony Ramos) lures her back to the open plains to put a groundbreaking new storm tracking system to the test. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), a charming and ruthless social media star who revels in publicizing his adventures chasing storms with his raucous crew, the more dangerous the better.
