A narrative Czech-Slovak co-production fairy tale in which, fortunately, love triumphs over evil. Only three golden ducats in the palm of her hand will allow the cursed Miss Julie to return to her life. Only once in a hundred years. Juraj is not just an ordinary country sheep herder, thanks to a local teacher he is educated, he can read and write in his mother tongue and English. And thanks to him, he learns about the world, about new inventions and discoveries from the early 20th century from various books, newspapers and magazines. His dream is to travel all the way to America. For that, he needs money. When one of the sheep wanders to the ruins of an old castle, the mysterious Miss Julie appears unexpectedly before him. She's beautiful and claims to be the owner of a large local estate and castle. But she is not allowed to tell anyone that sometime in the early 17th century she was cursed into eternity by a wealthy and power-hungry aunt, nor about who and how she can break the curse. All she has taken from the past are three gold ducats, only one of which she can offer for deliverance once every hundred years. Shepherd Juraj, whom she meets with the last gold ducat in his hand, is her last chance. And Juraj needs the gold ducat. He could use it to buy a boat ticket to America. But he has no idea what trouble he's getting into with a mysterious girl from a time long forgotten...
