Virtually since time immemorial, a war has raged in the universe around us between two advanced alien civilizations, the "good" Autobots and the "evil" Decepticons. Until now, we've been shunned, but when these advanced mechanoids discover an energy source on Earth, the harnessing of which could bring ultimate victory to one side or the other, our planet turns into hell on earth (or rather, in space). We experience their invasion alongside a teenager named Sam (Shia LaBeouf), who has so far been plagued only by school, the lack of a proper ride and a girl named Mikaela (Megan Fox) who prefers his classmates. The moment the first news about the destructive robots appears on TV, he has one more problem. He is the one who unwittingly hides the key to that vital energy source, which is why he is entitled to the top spot on the endangered species list.
