Every town has its history, but Tombstone has become a legend. Judge Wyatt Earp comes to the Arizona town of Tombstone, a haven for the Wild West's greatest desperadoes, to start a new life with his two brothers and their families. Earp doesn't want to interfere in the affairs of the town, but due to circumstances he is drawn into a bloody shootout with outlaws at the OK Corral. When one of his brothers is killed in the fight, Earp takes the oath of sheriff and decides to clean up the town once and for all.
He manages to take out many of the criminals, but their leader, the fastest gunfighter in the area, Johnny Ringo, is still on the loose. Earp knows that he will never beat Ringo in marksmanship, but despite this, he agrees to his challenge to a duel without hesitation. Earp's life, and the fate of the town of Tombstone, seems to be decided. However, the predetermined course of events takes a slightly different turn when Earp's friend, gambler Doc Holliday, enters the decisive duel
