When Lisa Simpson reports a pollution problem to the city of Springfield, the city reacts and bans all water pollution. However, this does not stop Homer, who dumps a silo of pig waste into the water. Russ Cargill decides that Springfield is too dangerous and places a dome over the city to prevent anything from getting in or out. When the residents of the city find out who is the real culprit of the problem, they head straight for the Simpsons' house. Escaping from the dome, the Simpsons decide to start a new life in Alaska, while the rest of the city disappears...
