Russian secret service officer Nikolai (Dolph Lundgren), otherwise a professional killer, is sent to the fictional African country of Mombaka to eliminate Sundata, the leader of African rebels fighting against the cruel communist regime. This mission is top secret. Nikolai deliberately allows himself to be imprisoned in order to meet Kallund, the rebel leader's right-hand man, and American journalist Ferguson.
