A severe snowstorm and emergency forces the members of a scientific expedition, along with eight sled dogs, to leave Antarctica. To survive the harshest winter on earth, professional guide Jerry (Paul Walker) must eventually leave his beloved four-legged friends in the icy wilderness with the promise of returning for them as soon as possible. The action adventure about a dog and human's journey leading to a reunion earned $81 million in U.S. theaters, ranking 27th in revenue. This put Eight Brave ahead of the blockbuster Eragon, among others. The story of Jerry and the dog pack was based on a true story and provides a message of loyalty, courage and mutual trust in addition to thrilling spectacle.
